Party Animal

We're excited to say that Party Animal is back! This offering is rotating selection of natural-processed coffees from Africa.

This lot was harvested at the Anasora village in the Guji region of Ethiopia, a southern region renowned for its coffees and its forests that provide incredible soil for coffee production. In particular, this lot is planted in shade and intercropped with spices and tubers. The processing station this coffee goes to was built specifically to receive coffee cherries from a high elevation in order to pursue a unique cup.

Cherries are selected by hand for quality and to avoid defect, then are given 10 hours of aerobic fermentation before being placed on beds in natural heat and sun for three to four weeks. Farmers rotate the cherries regularly in order to prevent defect and spoilage.

Once this lot got to our sampling table, we simply knew we needed to have it. It opens with strawberry and a backing of earl grey tea, with an electric acidity that invokes grapefruit. It's an acidic, light offering full of berries that we think you will love.
