Old Friend Espresso Blend

Old Friend is our staple coffee here at Thunder. It is at the heart of each espresso drink we make and is selected specifically to bring forward a profile suitable for complex but easy-to-drink espresso. Our current Old Friend is a 50/50 blend of a washed Colombia and a washed Peru.

The first half Old Friend is the Suukala lot from Siruma, located in the Antioquia region in the Southwest of Colombia.  We taste a bright, clean orange with stonefruit and a honey sweetness following.

The second half is a very pleasant Peru, grown in the region of Veracruz. The Peru brings structure to the cup, with a strong chocolate backbone laying the base for each shot.
