Rhinestone Cowboy

Rhinestone Cowboy is back in our lineup! This line of offerings represents single-origin offerings from South America, rotating seasonally as supply allows.

Our current Rhinestone Cowboy is a fantastic single-origin Bolivia offering from Cooperativa Aljiri, a cooperative of small producers in Caranavi. Cooperativa Aljiri supports its members by helping reach better markets, providing resources for sustainable production, and empowering women producers through its “Matriarcas: Un Café con Igualdad” project.

Across the farms, they maintain soil fertility through the use of organic fertilizers, such as coffee husks, as well as an agroforestry system within the coffee plantations, which benefits the soil through the leaf litter provided by the trees. The use of agrochemicals on both soil and foliage is avoided.

This lot is hand picked, with only ripe cherries being picked. It is is made up of Typica, Red Catuai, and Catuai grown at 1530 MASL, which then go through a traditional washed process.
