Our Story
Beginning in 2017, brothers Skyler and Dexter along with Nicole (wife to Skyler) started Thunder Coffee with the idea of owning a coffee shop that focused on building community while serving incredible coffee.
Starting with secondhand equipment and a first rate work ethic, the mobile Thunder Coffee cart began with only three menu items. We set up anywhere and everywhere people would let us. Starting with pop ups, catering corporate events, and selling coffee at concerts, fitness festivals, farmers markets, and tattoo expos. In 2019, we planted our first brick and mortar cafe in West Fargo, ND.
In March 2023, Thunder Coffee opened a second brick and mortar cafe at Brewhalla near Downtown Fargo, ND. In addition to the new shop, Thunder Coffee expanded its roastery and kitchen operations with a new roastery location in North Fargo.
Through its growth, the team at Thunder Coffee is inspired to continue building community and creating new experiences in the region.
